Victor Rigaudy grew up in Saint Junien - Haute Vienne, the historic capital of French glove making. Born into a family of craftsmen, Victor founded the Rigaudy house in 1893.
His wife Berthe came from a family of master glove makers. Together, they undertook the modernization of the factory benefiting from the advances in mechanization. Progress was prodigious.
In 1895, the family expanded with the birth of Marguerite followed by Pierre.
